Fear of Storytelling

Just another little reminder for future reference to help me with my fear of telling my story. I'm a little afraid of sharing the gory details, but mostly, I'm just trying to sort out what the heck has happened. I can't get alone enough to process these 37 years...

Just found you... Please don't be afraid to write... so many women out there can learn from you and your experiences!

This is something I've felt for over 2 years now but I've finally decided that I'm no longer ashamed to write about it... as long as I am respectful, I will write.

I hope you can find the to write... because people will read ;)

wendy,

I just wanted to thank you for sharing your story. I found your blog through April Day's blog, and really feel the power of your spirit and your faith.

Keep it up.

I am going to add your blog to our personal stories index list.

Also, would you be willing to share your story for a film for a Christian audience about this topic? Email me for more details, or look up "Shamed: The Movie" at shamedthemovie dot com. (I could put you directly in touch with the creator and director of the film.)

Telling your story can be incredibly healing, and can help you gain perspective and work things out. I highly recommend it. You can keep it all anonymous if that works best for you. Peace.

I'm so sorry. What a horrible ordeal you've had to deal with. And I think the self medication with food is a direct result of being mistreated and lied too. We all have coping mechanisms even when they're self destructive. I hope that you can find peace and know that we are all routing for you. There is healing in getting the words out. I know I have let it all out on my blog and it's been so good for me and brought me much clarity
